Dr. Mary Kendall Parker

Dr. Mary Kendall Parker is a board-certified dermatologist with Snyder Dermatology in Austin, TX.  She specializes in all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.  She regularly performs total body skin examinations for early detection and diagnosis of skin cancer.  She enjoys seeing patients of all ages.  Her main interest is medical dermatology, but also concentrates on providing her patients with the newest products and procedures in skin protection and skin care practices. This allows patients to achieve and maintain a youthful appearance while addressing both photoaging and skin contour concerns.  She practiced for several years in Houston before joining Snyder Dermatology.  She is excited to be back in Austin and provide excellent care to the Central Texas area.  

Dr. Parker is trained and experienced in treating a broad range of common skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin lesions as well as more complicated rashes and skin concerns.  She enjoys staying up to date on the most cutting edge medical and cosmetic treatments to provide her patients the best comprehensive care.  She encourages annual skin screenings for her patients for skin cancer prevention and early skin cancer detection.  She also provides cosmetic treatments including neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin) as well as dermal fillers to create a natural look for her patients. She is always happy to consult with patients on skin care products and treatments such as lasers, chemical peels and resurfacing techniques to promote a more even skin tone and texture. Dr. Parker enjoys performing surgeries for mole and cyst removal as well as skin cancer excisions. 

Dr. Parker grew up in Carthage, Texas, a small town located in “The Piney Woods” of East Texas.  She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.  She completed her medical training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.  She completed both her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital.  She was nominated by the faculty to serve a Chief Resident during her last year of training.  

Dr. Parker has been published in several peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented interesting medical cases at scientific meetings. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the Texas Medical Association, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Austin Dermatology Society. Dr. Parker has been listed as a "Super Doctor" rising start for 2018, 2019 and 2020.
