Meet Dr. Snyder

Dr. Renee Snyder is a board-certified dermatologist serving the greater Austin, TX area. She is trained to treat all aspects of skin-related conditions, ranging from common skin irritations and ailments, to diagnosing and treating skin cancer. While her main interest is in medical dermatology, she also concentrates on the skin rejuvenation aspect of skincare, which includes an organic approach to optimizing the look of the skin by using the latest cosmetic treatments to assist both men and women to look and feel their best. She is the co-founder of W3LL People, a beauty conscious line of cosmetic products that deliver natural "no-makeup" results by using plant powered all natural formulas. At this time, Dr. Snyder is also works at E.L.F. beauty. She has created and helped launch the Keys Soulcare line in concert with musician Alicia Keys. She is listed as a "Super Doctor," an honor that identifies top doctors as selected by their peers, and she is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Skills and Specialties

Dr. Snyder's dermatology practice is equipped with the latest technology and equipment to accurately diagnose common skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and many other skin ailments. She blends a unique combination of art and science to rejuvenate the skin in a safe and healthy manner, striving to attain the results her patients desire. She is an expert injector, teaching peers and dermatology residents on their usage. She uses fillers and neurotoxins (ie, BOTOX®) to create a softer facial appearance, as well as laser technology to transform the skin and remove unwanted irregularities. With precision and accuracy, Dr. Snyder also performs skin cancer screenings, and is able to diagnose and recommend treatment for various types of cancers, including the lesions, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma--one of the most dangerous forms of skin cancer.

Education and Training

A native Texan originally from El Paso, Dr. Snyder is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and was in the School of Medicine Honors Program and graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She completed her internship at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX and her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Achievements and Affiliations

Dr. Snyder has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, presented at several scientific meetings and been co-author of a book chapter in Dermatology in General Medicine. She is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology, and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and volunteer faculty for the dermatology residency program at the University of Texas at Austin-Dell Medical School. Dr. Snyder currently serves as a member of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Development Board.

Dr. Snyder is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Dermatology Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member and the past President of the Austin Dermatology Society. Dr. Snyder has been named a Top Doctor in Austin for the past 14 years in a row, Austin Monthly's Top Doctors and named Best of in Austin Fit Magazine. She is proud to be the preferred Dermatologist for the University of Texas Longhorns and Austin FC.

"I sought the advice of Dr. Snyder for cosmetic concerns. I’m middle aged with facial laxity and mild hollowness and wanted advice and treatment recommendations. I’d had botox and such in the past but was ready to do something a little more impactful. My end goal was to treat my areas that bothered me while still looking natural and my age. I was not a face lift candidate but wanted to improve the texture and skin sagging I was noticing at 45. Dr. Snyder walked me through all of my options and recommended a Eurothreading treatment to address my specific issues. She took so much care and time explaining the procedure and mapping out what her plan was day of treatment. "I've been going here for a few months to get laser hair removal with Emily (the aesthetician) and I can't recommend her and the service enough. She does a great job and is very kind and professional, and I'm in and out in just a few minutes each visit. I looked around to compare prices and these are in my opinion great prices for the service, especially in a bigger city. Sure you could find something a bit cheaper going to one of those laser spas, but do you really want to trust anyone other than a certified technician at a doctor's office with a laser on your skin?"
