EuroThreads Lift in Austin, TX

About EuroThreads

Traditional face or body lift procedures require a significant amount of downtime and recovery, along with the risks associated with surgery. As an alternative to these surgical enhancement procedures, a EuroThreads lift, also known as a thread lift or "lunchtime" lift, uses FDA-approved, absorbable sutures (threads) to lift and tighten the skin to smooth out wrinkles, reduce fine lines, and improve skin elasticity. At Snyder Dermatology, our board-certified dermatologists offer EuroThreads procedures to provide natural, enhanced results for their patients. The absorbable threads can also help to promote the production of collagen in the skin to increase the longevity of results. Contact our Austin, TX office to learn more about a EuroThreads lift and to schedule a consultation today.

Best Candidates

A candidate for a EuroThreads lift is any individual who is experiencing signs of aging or sagging skin, but who is not wanting to undergo a surgical procedure. A EuroThreads procedure can be performed on several areas that have lost volume such as the neck, body, cheeks, lips, and jowls. This treatment can also be performed alongside other nonsurgical treatments, such as injectables, to help patients receive optimal results. The absorbable EuroThreads sutures continue to stimulate the production of collagen, which can provide long-lasting, effective results over time.

Treatment Technique

A EuroThreads procedure takes anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour to complete. EuroThreads absorbable sutures are placed into a cannula or needle and are sterilized prior to treatment. The cannula or needle will then be injected into the skin and the threads are left in place as the cannula or needle is taken out. The threads may then be pulled in certain directions to help lift and tighten the skin. Depending on the size of the treatment area, several threads may be inserted during one treatment session. The threads are not removed, but they are instead left to absorb into the skin and stimulate collagen. Other nonsurgical treatments may be performed before or after a EuroThreads lift, depending on what was decided upon during the patient's consultation.

What to Expect

After a EuroThreads lift, patients may notice some slight bruising, soreness, or swelling. This usually will last no longer than a few days. Optimal results may appear within a few hours or a few weeks after the procedure. The long-lasting effects of the results can vary from patient to patient, but on average, they last up to 18 months. Patients may notice more longevity with results if an additional nonsurgical treatment was also performed. A follow-up appointment may be scheduled so that the success of the treatment can be evaluated.
