Restylane® Treatment
In a quick and easy appointment in our dermatology office, we can administer Restylane® in about 30 minutes. Of course, the more areas you must inject, the longer your appointment will be in our facility. We do our best to make the injection as painless as possible; however, we can apply a topical numbing agent to the treatment area if that will ease your anxiety about the needles or pain. After thoroughly cleansing your face, our board-certified dermatologist will mark the areas to be injected. Your personalized treatment of Restylane® will be implemented with great care until the desired shape and contours are created. Most of our dermatology patients report no pain after the initial injection.
Restylane® Recovery and Results
Immediately following your Restylane® injections, you will see that your skin has transformed, and you can expect to see and feel:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Tenderness
Not to worry. These side effects of the injections are normally seen for a few hours, and if you have questions, please call our office to consult with our team. You should not participate in strenuous activities or exercise for at least 24 hours. Please avoid putting any pressure on your face. To help the filler settle into the contours of your facial profile, we advise that your head should remain elevated, especially when you sleep. Prop your head up on firm pillows for the first week.
